Bongjeongsa
The seat where the paper bonanza sits
Legend has it that in 676, a paper-folded phoenix bowed in its seat. It is said that a costume ambassador was founded, the Bongjeong Temple. It harbors the oldest wooden structure in Korea, the Porakjeon (National Treasure No. 15), and is still a living Sansa practiced by monks. In 2018, it was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site with seven Sansasas in Korea.
Fall of the poles
The oldest wooden building in Korea! It was built in the Goryeo era, but it is a living architectural textbook according to the architectural style of the Unification Shilla era.
Manseru and Yeongsanam
With its sloping terrain, Manseru hides fun architectural tricks that look second-floor from the front and ground-floor from the back. Yeongsanam, considered one of the top 10 gardens in Korea, is also famous as the filming location of the movie The Reason Why the Dharma Went East, and the entrance to it is the foohwa-roo in the photo.
Walk the Foreground — Jonggak, Eungjinjeon, Samsung Gak
Slowly looking around the grounds, Jonggak embracing the ringing of the evening prefigure, Naejinjeon, Sanshin, Chilsung, and Samsunggak containing toxicity, and Songamdang and Interest Hall, the monks' custodial bonds — the large and small angles of the thousand-year Sansa tell their stories.
